It was in response to Michelle walking by her without picking her up on the way to the living room to play. We let Stella lay on the floor and cry (no tears) while we loudly and conspicuously played with her toys. Eventually she stopped crying and just listened. A while later, with some coaxing, she uncomfortably turned her head to watch us play with the toys. A while later still, with more coaxing, she rolled over onto her stomach and watched us. Eventually, she crawled over and started playing with us. Note: She crawled. She did not walk. One last moment of defiance.
