We booked 2 tickets to the City That Never Sleeps, or is it, The City of Lights, or The City With Legalized Prostitution?... eh, anyway... we're going to Las Vegas!
Woohoo!
We aren't going until May, but I'm already excited. I've only been to Vegas once but I was 14, so I guess I wasn't really there at all. I couldn't do anything but swim at the hotel pool, and it wasn't even a topless pool. I'm pumped to see it for all that is now that I'm legal.
I'd love to hear suggestions on what to see and do from those who have been. Bring 'em.

How exciting!!!
I want to go to Vegas SO bad. I don't gamble but it just looks like such an interesting place to visit.
And the main reason I want to go.....because of the Cirque du Soleil/Beatles show LOVE. I want to see this SO BAD!!! I tried to see if T & I could go there for my birthday - no (he does not like the Beatles). So now I am trying to convince my family to take my mom out there for her 50th! I bet the shows out there are so fun!!
FUN!!
Yeah, I'm totally not a gambler either. I'm going for everything else.
Perfect idea to take your Mom for her 50th! Moms love that. That's what my Mom did for her 50th. Although I didn't go.
i don't know what your budget is, or how much you enjoy the Beatles, but i hear LOVE is just amazing. but, also, the other cirque shows are freaking awesome too. the really sexual one (not sure of the name), i hear is REALLY sexual, if that's your "thing". ;)
i think my favorite part was walking along during the day, finding stops that had $1.00 beer and then walking on the sidewalk with them in my hand! it was fun.
my least favorite/overrated part:
getting into some movie-star-clad club (with no movie stars that night) and paying $13.50 for a bud light.
just taking in the sights will be fun (seeing all the casinos), etc.
you'll have a blast (and maybe you could hit up the topless pool this time!)
Malissa, I've definitely heard that about the Zumanity show - that's the name of the overtly sexual show. Um, not really my cup of tea. I don't need to be with a bunch of strangers in that kind of setting. And please know I was kidding about the topless pool, that's definitely NOT my thing! :) I just think it's really funny that they exist in Vegas. I normally think of them on exotic foreign beaches, not on the top of a U.S. hotel.
$1.00 beer!? On the street!? Nice. I'll definitely keep my eye out for that! Thanks for the tip!
FUN! Very good. I have absolutely no suggestions.
(I won an award for work this year and it is a trip to Vegas and a 4-night stay at the Bellagio... perhaps we'll see you two lovebirds out there...)
I know I told you this already, but O rocks.
That's my vote.
And, just walking through every single major casino out there. It's amazing how different they all are, and how amazing they are all decorated/themed.
It's cheezy, but the fountain in front of the Bellagio is fun to see, especially when it is lit up at night.
OOOOOOOOO, you are going to have so much fun!! There is so much to do there besides gamble. Pool, shop, attractions, roller coasters, shows, concerts, clubs, bars, etc., etc., etc.,
Can't wait to hear all about it!
Vegas is awesome. I hear that Love is great, and O was good, so was Mystere. Best Restaurant: Buccaneer Bay at Treasure Island Best Club: Ghost Bar at the Palms. Have fun...
