Who am I?

We are 10 days out and I am surprisingly calm. Hopefully I'm not jynxing things by saying that. This is not normal for me. I am a worrier. I worry about things big and small. I worry about being worried.

But I'm not worried.

Since when am I not worried? I'm worried I don't know the answer to that. But it's nice to not be worried about the wedding. And it's awfully darn confusing.

I'm not sure who this person is, but I'm beginning to like her.

Ahhhh soooo, you are learning grasshopper. We can't waste our lives worrying about the small stuff. Or as one of fraternity brothers used to so eloquently put it, "Fuck the dumb shit."

Truer words have never been spoken.

All WE need to worry about is not getting poison ivy or the flu on the wedding day. After that all we worry about is just exactly how sweet we want to be on our honeymoon.

YOU are not worrying because, really, nothing matters. (I say that politely) Seriously, as fabulous as this day is going to be because of everything you have put into it, in the end you are calm because you know what it is truly about.

You know that you are doing the right thing.

It doesn't matter if the cake has one too many layers in it, or if your flowers are wrapped in the wrong ribbon, or if you have 3 candles on a table instead of 4.

The only thing that truly matters is the reason for the day, and since you are so ready and excited and sure of that, then everything else will be fine.

I agree with T.P. and W.K. - you aren't worried because everything is exactly how it should be. I'm so happy for you!

The next thing you know, you will be wearing long skirts and letting your hair grow out. Peace.
